Many years ago, in a small town in Indiana, I was at a red light when a kid in a jacked up 442 pulled up next to me. Since there was no traffic and being the ornery cuss that I am I decided to have a little fun and started revving the engine.

When he looked over to see what was beside him I revved, popped the clutch, and jumped forward about a foot. Thinking I had pulled off a hole shot on him he went...and blew through the red light!

Now the town cop coming in the other direction saw what I had pulled and was laughing as he stuck his hand out the car window and shook his finger at the kid. The kid being so mad he couldn't see straight at what I had pulled stuck his hand out the window and flipped off the townie. The townie lit up, made a U turn at the intersection and pulled the kid over about a half block down.

I don't know who was laughing harder as I went by and waved, me or the townie!

I had owned my bike less than 48 hours and was at a red light when a young driver in daddy's corvette, paper tag and all, pulls up next to me. While waiting for the light to change the kid revs his motor so I reply in kind. For about 30-60 seconds we sit at the light making a ton of noise. When the light turned green the corvette took off like a banshee, but I had to make a left at the next light 100 yards away so just casually cruised to the next red light. What the corvette and I had not seen was the sheriff parked in the empty parking lot. That cop comes out of that parking lot screaming with his lights on, stops right next to me and tells me my lineage belonging somewhere on the female canine spectrum (think Jackie Gleason in "Smokey and the Bandit", and bolts after the Corvette. I can't go past this intersection without a smile on my face!

I get those dummies every once in a while, I usually start revvving it up, acting like I'm gonna cut perfect light) and when the light turns green and they Squeal away thinking they are winning, I just putt away from the light like nothing happened.....

I do that with the stunt clowns when I'm on my SV. It's funny as all get out!
