Bike hs become very unsettled 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
My bike has become very unsettled.CommanderII tires 1800 miles ago, tried different air pressures from 36 to 42
steering head adjusted rear alinement checked, have run out of ideas.Bike will just veer left or right not in big
amounts, but enough that I'am constantly have to correct it,not much fun to ride.I have let other guys try it and
they also notice it.It acts like it wants to tip over, like I said left or right.
It does not follow road cracks,it just goes down the road twitching back and forth.

Any help would be appreciated, about ready to grab a hammer. Frustrated....

I assume you have checked the wheel bearings...What condition is the front tire in? Does it feel like the front end is leading or the rear coming out from under you?

Check out your swingarm pivot, and all your rear linkage. Make sure your fork tubes are tightly clamped, and both flush with the top of the triple clamp. Have you checked your front and rear wheel bearings? My SV would just about drag me across the center line the day the speedo magnet let go on the left side and loaded the bearing with iron oxide. Check your brake calipers and discs and make sure they are tight (OK grasping a litle there, but we're already in the floor, right?) Has your bike ever gone down with any forward motion? Another thought: could your steering head be too tight?

If that don't find 'er, we'll think about it again! I have Commanders (not II's yet) and run 38 in the front and 40 in the rear, and find them to be awesome. II's will absolutely be my next set of tires. Don't think ya have anything there.

Did this just start happening? Has it been happening all season? Was it happening last fall before you put it away?
