How many miles is too many miles? 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Having a discussion with the GF, she wants to buy a bike; Harley, of course.
Just because a bike has 50k or 60k miles, doesn't mean it belongs on the junkyard, right?

If that's the case, then there's a lot of dead roadies rollin....

Last I talked to my dad, his se ultra is closing in on 65k. That's been several weeks now, so I'm sure he's past that already.

50K or 60K is not much for one that has been well maintained.

What do you guys think of this?
I have owned many salvage vehicles that never had a problem; if I had the cash, I would probably spring for it. I realize the resale wouldn't be there, but if it runs good, its a great start to a custom build; something to keep.

I bet you could get a newer roadstar for less money with comparable miles and a clean title. I bet he wont take less than $7500.

I spoke with him yesterday, he's asking 6500; sounded to me like I could probably get it for 5000.
