Glad to hear you are back and well considering the circumstances. I'd like to hear what happened to the other guy too.

The luckiest part is, you don't remember it. I had a nasty fall some years ago, and I don't remember a thing, not the ambulance, the helocopter, or the first week in the hospital. And i'm glad!

Here's to getting well. Cheers!

TG--

SO sorry, but glad to hear you're on the mend! Here's hoping for a speedy (as speedy as it can be ) recovery and that you're out of the hospital soon!

TIP: Friends are great for sneaking pizza and cheese fries into the hospital...or so I've heard.

I just wanted to send out a hearty THANK YOU to those of you that had sent cards, thoughts and prayers. Every last one is needed.

The FYI for those of you that dont know what happened is: On July 1st I was involved in a severe mc accident ouy on Long Island, NY by Jones Beach (actually Hempstead for those familar with th area). How something like this happens on a Parkway (no commercial vehicles), I have no clue. Here I am cruising home after a 3hr ride w/3 off duty POs(who continued on w/o me) and the next thing I know, I'm waking up in the hospital all kinds of beat-up, crazy pain.

From what the witness' said, I was flowing nice w/traffic and had just attempted properly change lanes from the middle to the left, passing lane. There was a car in the left lane, but back far enough for a safe change by me. Out of nowhere (Parkways have nice curves and are not just straight thrus) a Kawasaki 750 crotch-rocket riding the white lines (illegal in NY) tags me in the back of what now remains of my left calf. I was cruising about 50mph and my bike (totalled of course) ended up almost in the far right lane. Tha Kawi ended up on the medial strip far ahead of the accident scene. So, you tell me how fast he was going.

I've been wondering how you are doing. It sounds like you are putting up a winning fight. Keep it up.
