Jake Wilson has good pricing on tires, as does
motorcyclesuperstore.
Put good tires on your ride, ya only have two between you and asphalt lunch.

I thought it was a pretty good deal. Maybe want to think about stocking a few in my garage if I had the extra money

As long as that tire will last, you won't want to stock them up. Better to let the tire supply houses keep them in the dark and in a controlled environment until you need them. Temperature, light, and ozone all have an effect tire life. I have flourescent tubes in the garage, and they are probably the worst, due to UV output and Ozone production.
Stockpile beer, oil and ammo instead!

I usually look around and find the lowest price I can and take it to my dealer and they have always matched it so far and I usually get my tire that day or the next at the latest. I'm a bit of an instant gratification kind of person
And I've always installed my own tires also so that saves me cash there too.

It's tough to find a dealer that can price match sometimes. My bud was a Parts Unlimited dealer a few years ago and I could get tires delivered cheaper than his cost.
May have changed a bit. Our sport needs a Discount Tire chain!

Yea, this town is all about keeping things local so most places will do what it takes to keep your business. The only bad part is I usually end up paying sales tax,but I get it a lot quicker for basically the same cost.

Thanks for all of the input. I ordered a new Metzler today. I just hope that this one does not start cupping at 3000 miles like that last two have.

That is why I was considering a different tire. If this one cups badly, I will for sure go with a different brand.

I was thinking that if I have to replace a rear tire every year, I just as well go with a much cheaper one.

IMHO, Metzler tires are like the ED Roddy seats...........they are good, but certainly not the best.

Anyway, thanks again to those that gae advice.

Run 40 PSI in that thing! Can't use the stock tire specs with any luck on different tires. I run 38 front 40 rear. Some run 40 and 42. Make sure your steering stem is adjusted correctly, and your tires get balanced on installation.
