Toys for Tots? 1 Year ago
Anyone in the Chicago area doing the 30th Annual Toys for Tots run this Sunday?

A buddy of mine is set on going and is trying to talk me into it.

I just caught the weather. Fox is calling for a "weather event" starting Saturday night. They won't commit to anything specific, but are hinting at snow or freezing rain.

I highly doubt I will be going this Sunday. Oh well.

I know you will probably think I'm crazy but I would like to see some snow down here in my neck of the woods. All we get here is a half inch or so every two to three years. The last time we got anything serious (10"-12&quot was in 1989. The fun part is that this entire area of the state is unequipped to handle anything bigger than a heavy frost and it paralyzes the affected area until it melts (usually a few days). This is a great time to hide out somewhere with friends (see drinking beer) until its "safe".

No you ain't crazy but if you want some I'll be glad to send you all you want after Sunday. Just pay shipping . BTW, the local chapter of the DC Eagles will be helping collect toys for hospitalized kids in conjunction with the Toys for Tots Program I believe. Very community oriented group.
