You don't have much in the way of choice unless you want to do metal and paint work. If your willing to do that you put anything you like on. Kury does have a turnsignal / plate for the 1700. Most lights are for the 1600's.

Kury

Dosclaimer There might be something out there I don't know about so don't give up.

I'm still waiting for us 1700 guys to have the choices the 1600 guys have in this Dept. Nothing "easy" yet, in the laydown tag dept, anyway. BB

If you mean the tailight that has the signals built in I rode behind a bike with that on it and you really have to be paying attention to even see the brake light or the signals. I wouldn't use it but that's just my opinion.

I recommend the Kury LED turns front and rear along with the run-turn-signal controller. Really lights up and my wife doesnt have to turn around and give near as many people "the look" to get them to back off. It also has the feature that blinks the brake light three times when you pull it on. When you ahve our LED brake light and two LED red turn signals flashing people pay attention.

As to the laydown plate I made my own for about 10 bucks. Hard to explain how but its easy and if some one could walk me through how to post a picture I will show you how. The LEDS ended up right up againt the plate, real tight to the fender, plate follows angle of fender. In the front by the way I mounted the LED's in the two extra holes that Yamaha provides in the windwheild mouting bracket, perfect location.

Would love to see the pics takehikes.

If you post using the "reply" button or the "reply topic" button at top you will see a field that will allow you to attach a pic (Select Image file to attach). Just click the browse button and you can pic a file from your hard drive.

The pic can't be any larger than 499 pixels wide and 50k in filesize or it won't work.
