I generally don't talk too much about my mishaps, but if it can help anyone out, then I think it should be brought up.. I pulled into a gas station today and damn near dropped my bike..The manager of the station was hosing off a section of their parking lot, so I went around him to avoid running over his hose and also getting my bike wet..so happens he was trying to hose down some diesel fuel, when I hit that wet diesel fuel, I lost almost all control, started sliding so I put my feet down and they started sliding also. It was slicker than cat sh*t.. when I hit the dry pavement, the bike suddenly grabbed, my feet grabbed, and I came to a stop, twisted my ankle but managed to stay up..I was only going about 5 mph..any more and I think I would have gone down...just want to say be careful..

I was filling my car up one time, as I was standing at the front of the car talking to a neighbor he tells me that the gas is over flowing. I run to the rear of the car, as I reach for the handle on the pump I hit the gas on the pavement. My feet fly out from under me, I land on my back and the gas is still running out of the car and into my face and eyes. One of the most embarrassing things I have ever had happen. Gas on wet pavement is as slick as it gets!!!!

Glad you are OK, there Flash! Diesel lubes stuff up pretty good, eh?
Water on new pavement gets slick too. Somehow the suns's heat brings the oil to the surface.
Another thing that is brutally slippery when wet are those wide painted lines on the pavement at crosswalks and rail crossings, I almost spilled my beans at a crosswalk on a steep hill when it was wet, scared the crap out of me!
Pea Gravel at corners is a common annoyance in these parts, like rolling on marbles!
