Engine oil additives 4 Years, 5 Months ago
So as to not high jack a thread, what about Slick 50 or Dura Lube for reducing the heat in our engines. Has anyone tried them in a motorcycle? I have ran them in my cars for years, but my cars have never developed SVS either. Just a thought. I figured maybe someone has looked into it or tried it before.

You are supposed to use an oil with no friction modifiers in a wet clutch motorcycle... If you add any additive designed to reduce friction you are in big clutch slippage trouble..

Hey JW I'm sorry. I was going to reply to you in the other thread but forgot. It wasn't a hijack. We have to take our clutch into account whenever we think about what oil we use or what we put in the oil. We can't add Slick 50 and the like to our oil because of the clutch.

Planet42: I recently joined PGR, and am interested in mounting 2 6"x9" flags to the back of my R* - maybe off the license plate. Does anyone have any suggestions on what mounts are good and where I can get them?
