Bike Week in Mar can be a riot, but it can also get a little too crazy. A lot of locals stay off the roads and consider it "amateur week." A certain portion of the visitors bought their first Harley in mid-life crisis, come down with their friends and just show-off, driving and revving like idiots. But that is some, not all. If you make it down, let me know. Year before last my buds and I had just got into the raceway and got parked where American Ironhorse always sets up, next to the highway, and we heard the crotch rockets reving then a crash, we ran to take a look at the highway and it was a gruusome seen, the guy on one rocket had a passenger who was thrown off and another bike ran over them, of course she was not wearing a helmet, she was killed. The young guys on the rockets were showing out, I guess they learned a hard lesson........This past Biketoberfest wasn't crowded at all, I guess the rain kept alot of people at home.
