Thats my thoughts as well.

I know he has his eye on my Roadie, maybe when I get my wheelchair Vtwin we can go for rides together and he can change my bag ... lol

Its really wierd that all the heavier bikes have such a low payload weight rating. My FJR is officially rated at about 10lbs more than the roadie, and to my surprise when I looked up the Goldwing rating is was about the same as the Roadie..

Thanks for all the responses, now to get the springs and look at installing.

.....These manufactures recomendations are lawyer driven and very conservative.....
I believe that’s very true but in the eventuality of an injury or death caused by a suspension component break down or by whatever overload your bike has been expose to, you can bet you’re sweet bippy they’re gonna (manufacturers and the stealers) use all the monbo jumbo and warnings stated in the owner’s manual to support their point and eventually win the case in court. And furthermore, these companies are lawyer up to their ears and they’re much more well equipped financially wise than every one of us to hold up for a gazillion years in court! So I’m not sure it’s a wise thing to go way over the manufacturer recommended weight load.

BTW, the recommended tire pressure for up to 198lb is 36psi front & rear and 36 front & 41 rear for more than 198lb.

I agree but if I'm dead I can't sue so who cares. My point was that these bikes will take more if we set them up right.Once I get down to a more normal large weight it won't be as "big" a concern. At my size it's ride and screw the lawyer's or stay at home and let them dictate what I can not do.God I hate lawyers and sue happy A-holesI run 40 front because the tires wear mucho better with no cupping.
