I don't think it affects performance much,,,It's just Butt ugly....

Gets rid of the light popping on decell ...does nothing for performance its a pollution control device at least thats what I heard gives the front of your motor a cleaner more definitive look ...Coug

I'm from the old hot rod school of lighter is faster. so take it off and add it to the junk box. i have about 30 pounds of uselss crap that Yamaha hangs on there that I have taken off, the AIS was first to go. Second should be the damn butt ugly and heavy turn signals.
