Started with a 50cc Bultaco (After multiple home made mini bikes.)
Moved up to a 125cc Honda (dirt bike)
Honda 360cc enduro
77 Yamaha 250cc Street Bike (Was actually my moms. "Borrowed" it a lot!)
78 Harley Sportster. (First one that was all mine.)
79 Yamaha 650 Special (Harley kept breaking down. Traded it for this and cash!)
84 Virago 1000 - This was my favorite to this point. Had it 10 years with no problems. Not to good for riding two though. Sold it to help start my wifes business.
79 XS1100 Fully dressed. Great for trips but top heavy compaired to what I was used to. When I first bought this it was in storage for 8 years. HATED Trying to balance the engine back out after the carb rebuild. Took days! Wifes health went sour so I sold the bike
83 XJ650 Yamaha - Given to me by a friend who couldn't get it running. Needed a cheap form of transportation back and forth to work. This worked great once I tuned it up! Uncomfortable though as I got older.
07 Roadstar - Need I say more!

Briefly had a late 70's Kawasaki 175cc when I was teenager. I bought it used and it died just as I was getting decent as a beginner rider. Decided to buy a car instead of getting another bike.

In 2006, I got the bug to have a bike, took the safety course and purchased a 2003 Honda 750 ACE.

Turned out my wife likes to ride too! The ACE was not the best for 2-up riding so we upgraded to a 2006 Roadstar. No regrets!

And no I'm not as young as this list would suggest.

1962 to 1964 had a small bike while in collage; don't even remember what it was. Dam near got killed on it in Miami traffic, and quit riding. Worked as a mechanic on small aircraft. On Sept. 11, 2001 the aircraft maintenance went down the drain because the FAA grounded all aircraft nationwide! I had a partner who was riding a Harley at the time. He said "if we can't pay the bills with aircraft, lets see what we can do with motorcycles." Spent three years working on planes and bikes. The airport board anounced that the rent was going up (it was overpriced to start with) and the insurance company was going to raise their premium by over 50%.
At that point we said "we are not working for ourself, we are working for the airport and the insurance company. We gave up the airport shop and set up a motorcycle shop. A customers brother in law was a bad boy and had his drivers licence revolked and wanted to sell his bike; an 03 Road Star. He asked us to display it at our shop and sell it for him. I bought it for a good price with the intent of reselling it and making a buck. My truck broke down and it took a month to get it fixed; in the meantime I started riding the bike. When I got it, it was over 3 1/2 yr old and had 7000 miles on it. Now after another 1 1/2 yr the milage is 35,000.
