Baron's Nasty Boy exhaust 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I'm in search of new exhaust. With all the options out there, this is becoming a difficult choice.
Does anyone have any input on Baron's Nasty boy exhaust. I want a nice loud rumble when I get on it, but not too obnoxious when riding around town.

IMHO, One of the best sounding exhausts ever built for the Roady.

I owned a set of Nastys a few years ago....they sound absolutely great. Awsome rumble, and very nice sound when getting on the gas. I changed pipes because I was looking for a different look as far as exhaust goes.

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to go for it. I also like the tip choices, the scalloped tips look pretty cool.

I have the Baron's pipes and like them a lot.

I did not know Baron was making them again.

I saw them in the new catalog I got. I hope they are not discontinued, I hate it when I finally make up my mind on something and can't get it. I guess I better call. I was hoping to get them when the government sends out our "economy stimulation money".

Baron's is making pipes again, but they are not made the same way they used to make them.

However, they are saying on their message boards that the performance is the same. The old pipes contained an inner lining that resembled flexible electrical conduit. It spiraled out toward the end of the tail pipe. The new ones are using a baffel that is supposed to do the dame thing. They are both designed to use the pressure of the exhaust to create a "screw" type momentum that increases scavenging.

The old ones were incredibly good (nasties, too nasties), if the new ones are capable of doing the same they should be excellent pipes.

Thanks Gram,

I saw the vortex type baffle in the ad, but did not know this was a new change. They also advertise the baffles sold seperately to fit in other aftermarket pipes I believe. I'll give a report on 'em after I get a set.
