If it's running GREAT do you really want to play

IMHO I think you still may be too rich on the main.

Don't move the clip to 2 (from the top) as it's getting up into the taper and it isn't as effective in this area.

Did you try setting the PMS by turning it in slowly until the bike stumbes and then out again until it stumbles. Halfway between these two points is a good place to start to fine-tune it.

Don't forget that at 7000' you're running much richer so you gas mileage would have been poorer (30.5).

Do all ajustments need to be done with the air cleaner in place?
Have`nt tried backing it in till it stumbles, hard to reach and not get burned.
Have it dyno`ed today after work.I`ll let you know the results.Later

Yea, it's a tight fit back there with the stock PMS and the aircleaner on. My PMS has a long head and with the BAK it's easier to reach. But I still wear gloves.

You can take the aircleaner off to adjust the PMS. The 'stumble' method is only approximate anyways.

The dyno should help you out but an EGA is the trick if you can get one hooked up.

Been thinkin! A 1st. That just a small rod with a wheel on the end
bringing it down 3 inches should work.Gonna buy a extra screw and try it!
What do ya think?

Yes .... but it has to be smaller than the head of the PMS and you have to solder it on the end without deforming it.

Check this out and modify it for your purposes .... http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/161/96/

If you could keep it from falling out or turning on it's own from the extra weight it would be a huge help. Maybe someone has checked into this, but do they make those flexible spring shaft screwdrivers with a small enough tip?

There`s a small area between the end of the screw and the bottom of the carb
if you use a small rubber bushing that was tight against the rod and
snug against the inside area of the part right after the screw should
keep it in place? What do ya think?

I think Musky's right; the 'extension' may need to be supported 'cause if you move it back and forth a bit ... somethings gotta give.

I had some pics from a guy who make a bracket that screwed to the carb. I'll try and find it but with 400 gigs of 'stuff' on the 'puter it might take years to find
