Just had a thought it started after I lowered the rear end. Wonder if changing the angle of the bike put my float level off such that it is starving for gas?

Thats a thought Curt, it's not much of a change as far as angles go, but if your float were right on the edge before the lowering, I guess it could be a problem..Did you notice anything strange going up hills before the change..

Curt, last fall I had an independent wrench put a new back tire on. I got a call from him wanting to know If I had been having trouble with my bike starting and running badly. NO he thought it might be some relay that was going to cost me about $80. ANYway long short, he had disconnected the battery and unhooked some wiring, (not sure why) Ended up being a connection that was loose.
just another nickel worth a penny here.

Well, it like my Pop always says, "A third-class ride beats a first-class walk."
Glad you didn't have to 'walk' home Curt.

Disclaimer: (Curt's Roadie IS a first-class ride when she's running right!)

If you changed plugs you had your tank off. Maybe you have your vent line pinched a little. Not enough to cut all the air off but enough to make it hard to get gas.
