Stage1 5 Years, 11 Months ago
Hi Everyone from the Tax Me State of Nebraska.
I'm new to this forum and just recently bought Myself a
new (06) Road Star Silverado, pearl white with a windscreen,
highway light bar and soft bags. $1,080 to Lic. the beast.
I love everything about the bike except the sound (sewing machine)
but it will be a while before I can afford new pipes,( Longshots) I was
thinking about doing a stage 1 drilling on my stock pipes but
read somewhere that the 06 model might have a catalytic converter
on it and was wondering if this was true and if it is can the
Stage 1 still be done? Also I would like to put highway bars on
it but couldn't find a hole (upper) to bolt the top of the bar to.
Do you just drill a hole or do you use some kind of clamp. I know
I'm just full of questions, but this is My first new bike, and also
the biggest. My ole lady said " Look at that tank, it's wider then
My A--, well almost"
Thanks
Denny

Welcome to the Clinic Denny. Don't forget to visit the R* Forums on Delphi.

You can do a Stage 1 exhuast on the 06. It will help eliminate the 'sewing machine' sound.

Ditto the Doc on the exhaust mod and if you are going for the big engine guard, the top uses a clamp. Welcome to RoadStar world and many safe and happy miles to you.
