I'm running the standard baffles that came with the pipes, but I've been thinking about trying some different ones just to see what they would sound like. The performance on the Rineharts is great, the engine runs much better than it did with the stock pipes and I didn't change the airbox or mess with the carb. I'm planning to replace the stock airbox, but I blew my budget out on all the other goodies I put on while I was waiting for the Winter weather to clear.

Hi Curt just wanted to say I look forward to your post
With all the wrenching you do you could have a forum of your own Hope you solved your latest adventure?
I run the stock baffles too like Slowride... hell if
Slowride lowers he bags I could mistake he's bike for mine
I also feel my bike is running better since the BuBs. I have not changed the air box or any other motor mods. I have removed the AIS.
Good Luck Curt on getting her right I know you will

Gotta tell ya ... I have the Big Guns and they did NOT come with the heat shields nor baffles (an additional $200 for both). Now, I am totally satisfied with'em - they look and sound GREAT! But, if I knew at the start what I know now, I would've went with the Rineharts ... especially for $450. Here's a pic of my pipes w/ the chromed swing arm covers:

Either way, I know you won't be disappointed. Good Luck.

I'm looking at the Bub Rineharts flush cuts. Performance ans sound are the main benefits here. Ebay hasd these for $450 that's $400 bucks off.

or

The Samson Big Guns. The follow the rear wheel sub frome nicely and are $100 cheaper. I hear they are really load though.

Any help with direction would be nice.

Thanks fishhead & slowride I am running the torque cones which is wide open and boy they are loud but love the tone. I also have the baffles which have never been in them so I my just have to try them and see what they sound like. The only thing about the Bub's is the chrome isn't as good as the Hard Krome pipes I have.

FB, they're only about $50 more than the Rhineharts on e-bay.
