I am an active member of ABATE. If you haven't heard of them, you should look into it by putting 'A.B.A.T.E.' into your search engine.

ABATE in Washington State, is seeking legislatation that would allow motorcyclist 'free' left turns if the sensor is not registering the bikes presence and has waited through one signal-cycle. I am sure we have all felt the frustration of pulling up to a light and been 'ignored' until a cager comes along to trip the signal. Here is the direct link to the bill:

http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/billdocs/2007-08/Pdf/Amendments/Senate/1625-S%20AMS%20TRAN%20S5862.1.pdf

While the above bill is for Washington State, check with a local ABATE chapter in your state to see what is going on where you live. (they are in all 50 states and in Canada)

Check into your local ABATE chapter. Then write your representatives.

FYI...ABATE is for motorcyclist rights. It is an organization, not a motorcycle club.

PM me if I can help you to learn more.

Minnesota has a red light law already. If they do pass it be sure and carry a copy of the law with you or keep it on your bike.

Western Powersports has a "signal tripper" that lists for $20.00.

The Avon Park, Fl airport has a fence with 2 gates. To get in everybody who needs access has a magnetic card to open the gate for entry. However, a motorcycle will not open the gates for exit.

I have one of the "signal trippers" on my bike and a friend of mine also has one -- works like a charm every time.

How does the 'signal tripper' work on the weight triggers? Washington is big on the 'loop' style triggers. I 'bomb' the front brake when I get in the circle, but it isn't always successful.
