This is the one I have
Simple plug and play...read the comments from others
Head Lamp Modulator

It flashes on hi beam during the day...
Normally you would use the hi beam in the day to be noticed more anyway... flick to low beam and she is off..

The hi beam returns to its normal function at dusk...

The regulations are pretty specific on the modulation of the hi OR low beam how and when to be legal as the link given by by Mark 7

I DOUBT very much that flashing the passing lamps would be street legal..

Never heard of wiring the passing lamps to work flash with the headlight...... but I guess it would work.

I have a headlight modulator on my Roadie, and it really gets noticed..... especially on real bright days or cloudy days. Wakes people up! Even had a few pull off the side of the road thinking I was a "speed cop"

Saved my bacon more than once..... I'm all for them! ANYTHING to make me stand out in a sea of headlights......

And if I can install one..... so can you. Its easy....!

I've got the Signal Dynamics unit, only on the headlight. NOT the passing lights. The wiring was real simple. The modulator default is ON, when you turn the bike on, and it has a light sensor that will activate or deactivate the modualtor. BUT, you can turn it off by flicking from low to hi, in 2 seconds. I do this when group riding. But this is one of the best mods I've made to the bike. So far I've not had anyone do anything dumb, and pull out in front of me, while I've had this on, and in some cases as I drive by, you can see them looking at the headlight. Great item to add, I'm all for "SAFETY". The papers I've read, said a modulator was legal in all 50 states, and you do see a lot of sport "pocket rockets" with them.

Thanks all for the very helpful info!! After some research of my own I too have concluded that modulating the passing lamps would be overkill and probably cause mass hysteria!!

I think i am gonna go with just my headlight, and i like the idea of it modulating only on high, so the transfer to low beam stops the modulating. i believe i will also go with the brake modulator also! cant ever be safe enough!!

Thanks again guys!!!!!!!

I would consider the RTB controller from KURY...

It has the brake flash feature built in....
