#670 Randysgym (User) Tech Tips Publisher Posts: 205 Adjustable Lowering Kit 4 Years, 2 Months ago   I've been wanting to lower my Road Star since putting on a #1000 spring a few months ago. Mostly for looks, but also to lower me back down behind the windshield, too. I don't want to lower it any more than necessary, but enough to get the look I want. If I do need to go with the very pricy (for me) CycleImage.com kit ($170)...so be it. Is there any secret password or anything to get CycleImage to accept a discount (like many Delphi Forum vendors offer if you say you're a member, when you order)? Any way to at least get free shipping? I don't mind just calling them and asking, but if there's some insider info or secret handshake that will open doors for me, please tell me. WhenI got my kit, he was pretty good to deal with. Cant hurt to ask for a discount, and also mention where you found out about it. If he thinks he has a chance at increasing his sales by saving you a buck or 2, he may do it.... It is expensive, when compared to the regular dogbone kits, but I think in the long run I will like mine more. Didnt have time to figure it out last night when I posted. Working on an update already to the article, cycleimage now has a kit out that is fully adjustable on the bike, so no more having to drop the front to adjust.......will update ya soon when I get the kit in, and also have a tag bracket/led rear marker article for ya when I get some stuff back from the chromer.........while we are at it----any other articles you think you need? Lemme know, and I will see what i can do... Thanks..... We have recently recieved requests for articles on changing the front fork oil, and installing a Tricky Air system. If either of these is in your future let me know, I would love to get them on the clinic. I probably will, however, at some point this winter be changing the fork oil to 10wt. It all depends on when I come up with the cash to buy the wheels I want, gonna wait to tear the bike down til that point. It goes right after your opening image tag, inside the square brackets. This without the brackets so that it will show up: (open square bracket)img size=450(close square bracket)http://yourdomain.com/yoursigpic.jpg(open square bracket)/img(close square bracket) Height will autoset, this sets the width. I think we set the max to be 450, so it will not allow any sigs to be bigger than that.
