Hey hardone2get,
Man, that's a great price! Hope it's not just a promotion price. I hope that price holds out a couple months. I have to wait until my checking account quits smoking, from paying my taxes, before I can get any big ticket items for mine.
Let me know what you think about pipes.

Hey, did you ever get your lower fairings yet?

Yes I finally got some lower fairings. I also purchased a crash bar for a road king. It should be here today or tomorrow.I also had to order the caps for the lowers. The caps had to come through H.D. The old saying H.D. stands for Hundred Dollar which is the price of the cheapest part!!! is almost true. $92.00 per cap. So if people are looking at ebay and wanting to buy used lowers they need to know what the extra parts cost before they bid! Unlike me I learned after but I still have half invested in these as compared to a new set.
As far as the price of the freedom performance pipes go, I talked to Martin the sales guy on the phone and he wanted almost $900. I said really I think that's too much. I want a new set of pipes but I can get the road house dooleys for 677.00 with free shipping. He said ok what if I sold you a set for $700.00? I told him I would like to see a set first and would he bring them to the motorcycle run this weekend since they were going to be there? He said he would need a deposit to insure that he had the set I want which is the short version with slash cut tips. He said if I don't like them he will give me my deposit back. If I do purchase them I will take pictures and post them. And I would venture to say that if I like them and you guys want to buy a set all you would have to do is call Martin and say that your friend on the forum told you about the pipes and you sold him a set for $700.00 would you do the same for me? I would bet yes. Sorry for the long post!

Yes BB I will be the guinea pig for the sake of the forum. I just hope these pipes are as good as advertised. I talked to the company again today and asked how low the pipes sit. Martin assures me they will not rub the ground. I can't believe that I'm putting on new pipes. After the pipes I'm talking with a guy about building me some one off fiberglass saddle bags. I really like the beetle bags but I refuse to pay $1400.00 for them and I really don't know how well they would fit due to the fact that I have a trailer hitch on my bike. This guy said he can build around it. If I get my bags the way I want and get my lower fairings on I will finally be done with add on's and then it's off to paint. It's been a lot of fun over the past 8 years making changes to my R*.

Hey leyendaryheroe
Thanks for posting Freedom Performance new release here. I hope this is a sign of more great things to come for the Road*!! I feel that the more HD oriented aftermarket companys start supporting the Road*, the more of a win/win situation we have.

Funny thing happend today. I went by my dealership to get a bolt for my windshield and saw a few R*'s sitting out back. I spotted one that had a fairing and other fancy accessories on it and talking to a service guy he told me they were customizing a few to look like the Electra glide . This one was nice and I noticed the exhaust and asked about it Well it was the freedom performance true duals . they sounded and looked awesome I WILL have some of these. The price I got from them was around $755 .
