Heated handgrips anyone? 5 Years, 10 Months ago
My dad has the Harley and loves his "heated" factory handgrips. I am only jealous of him on his Harley for this ONE reason! He has toasty hands in the rain! ...Has anyone ever heard of heated handgrips for the 05 R* ? I would appreciate any info any of you might have. I can't find anything so far. Thanx all!

I'm pretty sure Hot grips has a set that would work. They aren't pretty though. Scootworks has heated grips. I know I've looked at heated grips before and sites that list heated grips are usually selling hot grips. But there might be others out there. Try a Google search and see what you come up with.

Take them off his bike and put them on yours.

Seriously, you can use HD grips with just a minor modification.

What minor modification.... (other than removing them from his bike )...!
..... ....Naah, better not go there! That'd be "grand theft moto" and an upset Papa Bear to boot!
I'll rephrase that: What kind of minor modification would I have to do to a set of Harley heated grips to get them onto my Roadie? Just wiring connection, or is it more involved like using a die grinder?

Not for nothing...it was near 100 degrees here today...heated handgrips are the very LAST thing I am thinking about Now, if you could fabricate a mini 5 ton AC unit for my R* I'd buy that in a NY minute

You have to enlarge the hole in the right control.

And as you are already aware they are shorter than the metric cruiser grips.
