Almost anywhere in the Southwest is a great ride.
I live in Salida... A great small town south west of Denver that you should not miss.
I have been through Yellowstone in the summer and the traffic is pretty hectic but the Tetons are awesome. And try to get into Monument Valley and the wide open spaces of southern Utah and Arizona
Enjoy your trip...

I am heading up to Edmonton Alberta in August... My first road trip in over 25 years.
With my new Roadie I am so looking forward to the trip..The Jasper Park Highway is calling

Banff is like Yellowstone, tourists and traffic everywhere. Jasper more 'off the beaten track' and more enjoyable.

Lots to see between Banff and Jasper so give yourself some 'sightseeing' time.

Also if you have 'extra' time, coming back head down the 'backside' ala Radium and Fairmount Hot Springs.

Hey Doc,
I gotta tell you, that was the most amazing road trip I've ever taken. Absolutely beautiful...every state and every turn was another adventure full of awsome scenery and beautiful country. Colorado to Wyoming (Grand Tetons) thru Colorados Million Dollar Hwy to Montana and Beartooth Hwy...just to name a few...absolutely Wow gorgeous!!! That was a trip of a lifetime.

I've got plenty of pics and even made a video in .MWA format of the trip with some cool riding music in the background. Problem is the file is too big to email. Does anyone know how I can share the video. It's about 39 min long in .MWA format and plays in my media player. It's really cool if I could just figure out how to share it.
