re-jet with stage 1 or 2?? 5 Years, 10 Months ago
Please, any advise would be helpful. I just purchased a brand new 05 and dont want to do anything that could hurt the motor in the warranty period. Would I be taking a chance with drilling out stage 1 and or 2? Will I need to do any jetting or carb adjustments after drilling? The diagram says that you have to with stage 3 but nothing on 1 or 2. Thanks

I think it differs from bike to bike. I did a stage 3 on the stock pipes and I had no problems. I had no popping or back firing. I checked my plugs and all is good. I think I just got lucky. Good luck. Kevin

You're OK with the exhaust modification. If the engine went belly up, I doubt that there would be anything that could be attributed to the drilled exhaust. Don't rejet for the exhaust mod. You may have to adjust the PMS a bit. Doc

Planet42: I recently joined PGR, and am interested in mounting 2 6"x9" flags to the back of my R* - maybe off the license plate. Does anyone have any suggestions on what mounts are good and where I can get them?
