BACK STABBING BIKER WANNABES 4 Years, 1 Month ago
Sorry a little upset this morning, I went down to gas station and ran into a guy that I would love to take a shotgun to. in 2004 I let him borrow my 2004 V-star my first bike so I could borrow his old truck to cut a load of wood, well him, his girlfriend, dad and a few otheres went out on a ride that day and he t-boned a SUV. Being a good guy tha I am I went up to the hospitial and stayed the night and made sure they were ok. I took him back and forth to doctors appointments and for him to see his girl in the hospitial for a bout a month. Well insurance made me whole on the bike. When I picked him up he said they were sueing the lady that pulled out infront of him. Come to find out he told me he had had endorsment, but in reality he didnt even have his drivers license. Well he told me when the win the law suite he was gonna buy me a new bike and make it right....yeah right.. Well time came that him and his girl got $1.000000.00 between the both of them after hospitial bills, and he told all of our buddies that he was not gonna buy a bike back, so now he is goin back on his word...I'm a man of my word, my grandfathers both taught and raised me the way of a mans word. All he had to do was tell me to my face that he was never gonna buy abike for me to replace the one he bent in half. The bad part was it was a verbal aagreement 2 years ago and only 1 person herd him say it....So I got the shaft and had to start all over with a bike....but every time I see him he runs the other way, kinda funny how money changes friendships and makes men into cowards

Man, I hate to break it to you, but it's not the money that made this guy a pile of fecal material, it just brought it to the surface.

If you are raised right and have a conscience it doesn't matter how much you have or don't have. You're word is either good or it's not.

I've always "measured" a man by the qualities in this short piece written by John Walter Wayland. The guy you are talking about fails to meet the qualifications listed here on many points.

"The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe."

My $.02

Take him to small claims with your witness(max most places are $5000.00).Might have a shot.
Sence you went and saw him, maybe in Court under oath he might fess up.Verbal agreements are binding contracts if proven.

If insurance made you whole, as you say it did, then close the chapter on this and get on down the road. One thing I have learned, if you do things for people expecting something in return you will go through life SORELY disappointed.

I always loved the saying that a friend is someone who will bail you out of jail; a great friend is someone sitting next to you in the cell saying "d@mn that was fun"

Regards, Ted

Beating the hell out of him means he can probably sue you.

Agree with 'close the book and move on'. Life's too short to get preoccupied with scum like him.

When I was younger I used to recommend "break both his arms and legs, throw him in a dumpster and call the garbage company for a pick-up." I have mellowed somewhat. On the other hand, an old friend of mine said just last night that he had come to the conclusion that anything worth fighting over was worth killing over. Kind of puts things into perspective.

Here's one that will amuse you. I know a guy in Dallas who was going through a divorce. On his way home from work one afternoon he stopped and bought a lottery ticket. Turns out he hit the big one. Something like $12 million. So the wife (separated but divorce not final) sues him for half and gets it.

I agree about the "moving on" Butter Bean. You lower yourself by falling into the revenge trap, and you won't be able to sleep nights. Then the scumbag wins again. You keep your principles and surround yourself with others who keep theirs. It can be very tough to forgive and forget, but you'll be healthier and happier in the long run, knowing you've taken the "high road". Just my .02.
