ROAD TRIP DOTHAN ALABAMA JUNE 2008

1. BIKE CHECK

-tires
-brakes
-hitch
-wiring harness for trailer
-get trailer do check, pack wheel bearings, and check air pressure and wiring
-oil change
-check spokes
-air pressure
-map pouch and map
-tool kit, sockets wrenches, air gauge, channel locks, wire cuts, zip ties, duct tape, electrical tape, flash light, matches
-spare bulbs
-wd-40
-1 gallon gas can with gas (never know what might happen)
-tire repair kit with co2
-if room in trailer the bike cleaning supplies

2. RIDING GEAR CHECK

-Helmets, full face and half lid
-leather jacket and zip up hooded sweatshirt
-rain suit
-gloves
-goggles, and sunglasses
-riding boots and socks
-mp3 player
-sun screen
-ear plugs
-light snacks, lemon drops and gum, and bottled water close to me.

3. TRAILER AND PACKING CHECK

-water for emergency use
-cloths, jeans, shorts, boxers, socks, boots, shoes, swim trunks, all the daily stuff for a month stay
-tooth paste and brush, gel, lotion, body wash. Deodorant, razor and shaving cream, fingernail clippers, laundry soap s
-camera and batteries, and usb for laptop and laptop
-aspirin
-everything above the 2 other checks as well

it keeps sore butt syndrome at bay for around 6 hours

At least 1 extra of every fuse.

Beer, cup holder, list of massage parlors along your route and a couple of dozen Crown condoms (hey, you never know).

How far are you riding. Where's this trip taking you? Inquiring minds and all that . . .

Heavy I am riding from Peru Indiana, to Dothan Alabama and staying there in a hotel for a month. I am enrolled in heavy construction equipment training so I'll be training 6 days a week and on my 7th day I plan on riding around the Gulf. The trip is around 750 miles on way, and I was gonna take my truck but the tranny is puking out on me so I figured why not make it an enjoyable time.
