Hey guys....sorry I haven't responded sooner. Been out of town for work. Anyway, thanks for all the compliments. this bike is way cool. It rides great. the spring seat takes some getting use to compared to the roadstar seat but that has come to be expected. It is a totally different feel from the roadstar. I've got about 150 miles on it so far since picking it up last saturday. I had the dealer put a couple of mods on it before I picked it up, such as a standard screaming eagle air kit, V&H short shots staggered and a power commanderIII. I have to honestly tell you guys that I think this bike has a little more get up and go than my roadstar with the 108" big bore kit w/high compression pistons. Let me put it another way....the other day I was doing about 10mph in 1st, I decided to crack the throttle just to see....you know....you just gotta see lol....and I was not expecting in the very least for my ass to slide back to the passenger pillion and my feet come off the floorboards. This bike has torque that I don't think my roadstar had. Needless to say, I am very happy with the results of these mods. I haven't quite figured out what kind of mileage it gets yet cuz I haven't filled it up after my ride the other day, but I can tell you that I went 95 miles on a half tank of gas. So with a 5 gallon tank, I'm guessing I can get around 200+ miles on a single tank. So that is pretty good. Anyway, I know some of you could care less being that I steered away from the roadstar and went with a Harley, but there were some of you that were curious about the overall ride, and everything else the Crossbones has to offer so I gave you the low down. Have great riding season guys, and we all will keep in touch.
