That's not enough miles to do a valve adjustment.Did you use 20w50 oil.
I know alot here do and so did I. I put 10w40 in last time and mine seemed to quiet down more. Same brand of oil just the different weight. Sometimes you have to try different ones to see what works best for yours.Their still a noisey motor.

20-50 oil the rest of the motor seems to be runing and sounding good

I am experencing the same thing you described with the engine getting louder I was curious what would have caused the engine noise with my bike I noticed it after I went to stage 3 I cut out the baffles. I also changed oil and went full synthetic on a buddies recomendation don't know if that matters but the noise was defitnetly there after stage 3.
