I went with a Wide Open Custom fairing because of features versus cost. The Harley batwing is a good way to go, because of all the aftermaket items you can use on them. You can get a good deal on outer, and inner HD fairings on eBay if you just keep watching. You'll then need to build brackets to fit it to the Roadstar. There are other fairings out there that are just as good for less money. I have seen the WOC fairing and it's very nice. If I had it to do over again I would find a used harley fairing. There are options that you can buy for a harley fairing that will not fit any other. Which is why I wish I had waited and done more research before making my purchase. Corbin's fairing is ok everything about Corbin is over priced. The brackets were super easy to modify to fit the road star. Cost: $160 for the fairing, $50 for new windshield, $150 for paint. I did not think I wanted a radio but there are times that it would be nice. It is just the outer shell. The inner was not available until later years. I pretty sure mine came off a 1977 model. It came complete with the mounting bracket, had to cut a little off and drill 2 holes. Here is a picture. Platinum Boarder Posts: 2132 Re:batwing questions 4 Years ago   bartish I would go with the later style fairing buy both inner & outer 1991-2008 any electra glide, street glide or ultra classic. Do not purchase anything that is for Road Glide, totally different fairing. You can expect to pay between $300-500.00.
