Akela--

Like Musky said, don't baby it...wind it out & blow it out fairly often. And as a preventative measure, you can run the Ring Free through a few ounces at a time. BUT...if you're planning on changing your oil anyway, you can run a whole can through in one tank of gas--just make sure you change your oil right after that tank is empty, because your oil will be toast. More like burnt toast... It'll clean a lot of crap out of the motor and dump it in your oil.

My opinion...use Sea Foam instead of Ring Free--you can get it at Wal Mart or Auto Zone and it's a lot cheaper.

as long as it is JASO MA certified go for it..

Just different viscosities...10w-40 better in cooler climates....20w-50 in warmer climates

Yammi sells both in Yamalube (DINO) all JASO MA certified

Yamalube

how many miles are necessary for ring seating, before I can change to synthetic? I have 3000km (2000 miles) on my 2004 1700 & I want to change oil to be sure that I am running only 4 quarts, & also to run a large shot of seafoam thru my tank before change.(svs) I also have a dumb question, when you say 4 quarts you are referring to US quarts? some oil bottles in Canada have US & imperial & litres on them
Thanks for the help, great site

ok, let me add just one more question. has anyone ever used the Lucas products? i've know a few people that have used it in their cages but never talked to anyone using it in a bike. Any thoughts?I use Lucas in my Road Star (20w50 synthetic motorcycle oil) in my opinion it is as good as anything out there. I get it a Oreilly's Auto Prts. Good stuff, use it.
