Fork Valves 7 Years, 7 Months ago
On that DEAD forum there was some talk of fork valves (you shorten up the top spacers) that improve handling. I plan a fork oil upgrade this winter and wanted to look at these as well. Does anyone here know what I am talking about?

They may be talking about Race Tech Gold Valve Cartridge Fork Emulators. They go in with the damping rods to change the valving. Brand "Y" here is famous for having high compression damping rates. Compression damping slows the speed that the fork can react to up-movements, Higher rates resist movement more and can make the ride harsh. The CFE is designed to help reduce the rate with no loss of control.

That does sound correct. They are a drop in, no serious fork mods required? Any idea who sells them?

Try www.hellrisercustoms.com or www.baronscustom.com. You should also consider changing the fork springs at the same time.

I don't thnik it's a dead drop in but it doesn't require a machine shop full of tools either. I'm not sure who sells them, maybe Dennis Kirk.

What I want to know is how you got my bike???
