I was reading a post about, "New exhaust too loud" someone recommended getting Stage 3 for the exhaust. Here's my embarassing question. What is meant by the stages and what do they do? Please no insulting responses.

Thanks!

Thanks guys!
I already have new pipes from LA Cycle. But I would love a way to get them to be a bit louder and throatier.

I have bub chambermaid pipes that will make your engine come to life. Another good choice is Rinehart pipes.

I think what he is talking about is the stages of baffle removal on a set of stock pipes. There is an article on this site that explains how to remove the baffling from your stock exhaust in "stages" each stage is louder that the first... but there is no going back to stage one after you do stage two.

Hope this helps.
