Rear fender accents on Silverado model?? 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago

On a Silverado, if you remove the saddlebags and sissy bar....are the chrome fender accents there like they are on a new Roadstar without the saddlebags and sissy bar.
I would like to take the bags off for a different look when not going long distance. Didn't want to take the bags and sissy bar off to find out there is no trim there. Thanks

Any Roadie with a stock backrest has the backrest supports built right into the eyebrows (accents). If you look close you will see what I mean. You could take part of the backrest off basically. You can get a piece that goes between the two uprights when the rest isn't on there. Here's the link - Passenger grab rail

no, if you take off the backrest and bags, you'll find two holes in the fender. If you get trim for this, get shorter screws or you might screw into your tires (put your finger on the inside of the fender, you can feel the screw come through), plus the screws aren't chrome. I occasionally remove the backrest and ride a solo seat, but leave the bags on. Its not exactly quick release (unless you consider about 15 minutes quick), its a pain in the arse to get the bags off, the sissy bar off, and then the bag support structure off. I always leave the bags on. Never know when I may need something or need to go to the store to pick up some things. If my bags are off, I'm forced to take my cage . Always ready

I want to take off the sissy bar altogether on my silverado... If I get the "eyebrows" from a regular roadstar, will my hardbags still fit? Do I even need the trim between the fender and the bag brackets??
Thanks!

I took my back seat and sissy bar off and left me bags on. I removed the sissy bar support and replaced it with 2 spacers for each of the 2 bolts. You can measure the width of the existing sissy bar support and get the spaces the same. I think they were close to 3/4 inch. I also found some black plastic plugs to fit in the hoses of the back seat holes at Lowes.
