Never noticed before 4 Years ago
I filled up with gas a couple of days ago. Decided to do a MMO treatment even thou it is running better than it ever has. I don't want the damn SVS back that took me so long to get rid of. The next day after adding the MMO I noticed after it was up to temp after 15 mile it idled about 200 rpms lower than it had been for weeks. I have it set around 900 - 950. I never noticed that it idled lower after adding a treatment of MMO or SeaFoam before. Guess it must lean it out a little.

Did you ever notice how SVS slows your idle down. Strange how it does that.

Don't go and try to get me worried, my bike idles faster after it gets to temp.

I've still yet to have SVS and I've got over 23k on my 05. Should I be worried?

Naw once you get em jetted right and find the right intake pipe jet combo you don't have to worry about SVS. Just use 4 quarts of oil and ride the PXXX out of it like you stole it. I know that for sure mine has done great once I got rid of it got it jetted right for my pipes and started riding 400 mile ride at 80 mph.

Mine also idles faster after it warms up. I have to keep the choke on about 1/2 way to keep it running until it gets warmed up. I thought about adjusting the PMS a little to compensate, but I have spent a lot of time adjusting and am getting 44-46 mpg and don't want to mess with it. It's running better than ever.

Mine's all stock and it idles higher after it warms up as well. I do add some MMO to every third tank or so, and I can't really tell any difference because this bike has always ran good for me.

I am considering doing a stage I on the pipes at some point.

I've used MMO in almost every tankfull of my 04 with 12,000 miles on it. I picked it up in the Spring of 05. Always ran great. I too noticed that when it gets fully warmed up, it will idle faster. Not much but noticeable.
Lakecharles, on the stage one, I highly recomend it. I rode all last year with HK 3" staggereds and while I did enjoy the "Lazerus" effect once in a while, the ears whweren't happy on long rides. After putting the stockers with the stage one mod back on, I can't believe how nice it sounds. Such a deep rumble and I don't have to coast by the church now. I was able to get the cones out without messing them up so it should be easy to return them to stock if ever needed.

Re:Never noticed before 4 Years ago
Just got mine back last week from the 8,000 mile checkup. Has to be the best it's run sinceI bought it last year! (And after having the SVS twice!!) Yesterday was the first time I noticed it idles better than it ever has. Have to leave the choke half way on about 6 miles, (Was only 42º when I left in the morning. So no biggy!)But my idle actually dropped down a bit once she's warmed up. When I asked the dealer he said it came in about 850 rpm and seemd to like it there so they left it! So far I'm not arguing. Sounds better at that setting. Still have to quiet the pipes down some though. Bit loud when I drive it TO church!!
