Re:Riding Jackets for Warm Weather 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
For summer riding I also usually don't wear a jacket around town and short trips, but on the highway I like to have something over the arms. I'm too cheap to go out and buy another high dollar jacket so I picked up a denim (blue jean) jacket from wal-mart. I'm currently looking for a Star-Motorcycles patch to go on the back. Gonna make it look like the high dollar denim jacket in the Yami Accessories catalouge.

I use a Olympia Airglide mesh jacket - 200$
and a pair of Joe Rocket mesh pants - 125 I think. either way I am good up to about 105 degrees in heavy commuting traffic. I love my Olympia it is comfortable fits me like a glove and is very comfortable.

I had a First Gear meshtex jacket and it was a good jacket comfortable and all but not as cool or warm in the summer.

Hey Bud, I hope you're wife's burgers taste better than those Hockey Pucks under my kick stand. You made me laugh out loud at that one, and I'm at work. I am not a big fan of bagers but yours looks great ,what a paint job! I just take out the removable liner until the heat comes then just a tee I burn up with anything more.

Re:Riding Jackets for Warm Weather 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
i just got my new Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 textile jacket this morning, and it really is comfortable! it has the protectors in the shoulders, elbows/forearms and the back...but they aren't annoying at all! they are in the exact right places for comfort and protection!

i put the inner liner in and tried that on...it didn't take long for me to get warm. it would suck to have to wear that in the rain on a summer afternoon! it is very durable vinyl though, lot tougher than i expected!

i still don't have my bike back, but a ridin buddy may be gettin an older bike of his runnin for me to ride...so as soon as it quits raining i'll get to try out the new jacket! the other textile gear wont be here til next week, but if its as good quality as the jacket, i'll be very satisfied!

My original riding jacket is a textile one. I bought the wife and I both one, they have the Orange county choppers logo on the bike. The jackets are nice, I dont wear it anymore because of the colar on these flaps in the wind will beat you to death. I wanted a jacket without the colar flaps. I have one of these in XL if someone is interested in it. I would let it go cheap.

Anyone had the Cortech GX air jacket. Like the looks of that one and have heard a lot of good reviews about the safety features. I'm going back and forth between it and the JR Pheonix 4.0 (which, btw, is $100 cheapter, but not quite as protective).

Thanks for the input!

I ended up getting a Power Trip Mojave jacket. Love it! One thing about them is the sizing is off. I am always an XL. This jacket I bought a XXL and it fits perfectly.
