Made it to Georgia 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago

Hello, All, from sweltering Springfield, GA.
651 miles and 11.5 hours later, I arrived at my sister's at 4 yesterday afternoon. Only weather issue was a 5-minute spritz at Lake Marion, SC. I kind of expected more. I know from experience that high humidity and heat can brew up some pretty ugly storm pretty quickly, but I made it past before it did anything nasty.
My behind was sore, as expected, but not nearly as sore as the last time I made this trip, so kudos to the Orth-Deluxe Seat Pad. With 250 lbs pressing down into he seat for so many hours, it definitely could have been worse.
I'll probably make the return trip Friday morning.
Later....

Glad you made it there safe.
That's a long time in the saddle. Better than half-way to an iron butt application.
I take it she didn't miss a beat the whole way?

Re:Made it to Georgia - AND BACK! 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
|
|
Left Springfield, GA at 4:15 this morning. Rolled into0 my driveway at 4pm, Put the bike in the garage, put Earl into the shower, then put Earl into bed for a few hours. So, I survived 1760 miles Sunday-Friday, with 1302 of them in two days' riding.
The R* performed like the champ she is. Even with the seat pad, my behind was ready to dismount at the end of the two long days. But at 651 miles each way, I have a feeling my butt would be sore even with the Ultimate Seat.
Anyway, I'm back home safe and sunburned, just like I'm supposed to be.
