Saddlebags spacers 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I have an 06 midnight silverado. What do you guys use as spacers for the saddle bags if you want to take off the backrest/mounts. The backrest acts as a spacer between the bags and the fender.

I don't know what others are using but I went to Lowes and in the hardware section they had some hard nylon spacers that were the perfect size. Can't remember the length. You can measure back rest but it's seems it was 3/4 inch. They only had white so I found a piece of black plastic tubing that they use on pond pumps to slip over them. So far I have had no problem with them. I am still going to look into making a one piece spacer to completely fill in the gap. I believe it would look better. Hope that helps.

Silverado.
