Crusierbob,

Good advice and I stand corrected. We really should wear gloves, while riding all the time for safety sake.

You might want to look at the postion of your handlebars too. I have the Kury Iso grips and throttle boss but what made a big difference was new bars that brought the grips closer to me. (I have Barons Nostalgia bars) Risers can help too. There are nerves in your back that if they are stressed for long periods of time will cause numbness in your hands. (My friend is a RN nurse and thats what he told me)

Kury ISO grips seemed to be a trade off, as the handle bar weights come off to use iso grips(hence more vibration)but I still like them and have added some lead shot in a tube to the ends, but still could use more.
I like the vista cruise, its 30 bucks actually works to hold the throttle but with a twist will still allow increase or decrease speed, flip it off and back to normal..
I used a dremmel to open up the inside of the plastic to fit the kury grips and made bracket to attach direct to throttle housing, instead of the bracket they sell with the kit(seen in one of the tech articles)

I just put the Throttle Meister on my 07 RS. I got the "Heavy" set. Not only does it allow me to rest my right hand, it also helps cut down on the vibration. A bit spendy, but worth it!

As an interim fix and due to finacial constraints, I went with the Cramp Buster ($10.95). It works a lot better than it looks. Plus, I can throw it in the saddle bag unless I'm on a trip.

I was impressed with it.

The smaller Cramp Buster for me. You can just turn it out of the way when needed, works great.

Has anyone out there installed a "real" cruise control instead of a throttle lock? I've been looking at a Audiovox CCS100 for possible installation on my Road Star. Saw the installation on a Valk and thought it would be the ticket if it fit.

How about just easing up on your grip? Not being facetious. When I rode 450 miles, I stopped after first leg and both arms were buzzing like crazy. Then I consciously eased up on grip and didn't have that problem again. Took the wife out riding in high winds and same thing - I was gripping tighter and got the pins and needles again.

I submitted an inquirey a couple months back on the same subject. Several responses came back and at least one was on Vista Cruise. I asked where to get one and member Clifford had them in stock in Florida. Paid 25.00 including shipping and easy to install. When set right it works great and with a release from your thumb you are back to manual throttle. Maybe better ones out there just dont know about them. Good luck.
