Does removing the ais help with power, or fuel milage? It definitly helps "clean-up" the looks of the engine, just curious about other gains

Thanks

It does 2 things. Helps with decel popping if you have that problem. And gets rid of a big ol chunk of ugly. It doesn't affect anything else.

I'm with ya dmfarms. My decel popping, and that lousy fluffing sound, is forcing me to set aside some time to take that ugly thang off soon. Thank goodness I live where emissions aren't checked.

Shouldn't cost anything to remove the AIS. I used fired 45 caliber pistol shells to plug the holes. I used brass ones but I think aluminum ones would be better because of the metal corrosion thing. I used silicone caulk to plug the intake hole.

The brass won't hurt anything. Lots of people have had them in for a long time.
