What do most folks carry for those real hot days? I thought about it for the fist time today and didn't have anything with me to put under the kick stand.

I carry a 3 x 4 inch piece of flat steel. About 3/16 inch thick.

I carry the Star kickstand pad in my windshield bag. I drilled a small hole in one side and attached a thin braided nylon cord. On the other end of the cord, I made a loop that fits over my mirror. That way I can reel it in from the seat of the bike when I'm ready to take off.

I never had anything until I joined one of those riders clubs. They sent me one of those plastic pads with a hole pre-drilled. Like Soba, I attached a small nylon cord and a loop on the other end. I'll never forget walking out of the office building one hot hot day and seeing my Virago 920 on its side. New windshield trashed, broken mirror.

Ha. I had no idea they made such a thing. I have a block of scrap 1X4 lumber that works just fine.
