I've got three of the plastic foot pads in the saddle bags so when My sons are with me they're covered.(they don't have storage on their bikes). But, in a pinch, I've used flattened soda or beer cans. anything to distribute the weight around.

I carry a flattened beer can in my saddlebag. I figure if I ever lose it, or forget it, it can easily be replaced.

I use a plastic one from Honda that I got for free @ a bike event a few years back. It's red and says Honda but the price was right. Look for them when you go to a MC event...There's almost always some company giving them away.

y´know, it´s kinda funny this.

back in england during the summer (what we brits call summer anyway), bike sidestands used to sink into the asphalt regually.

here in spain however, even with temps up to 45ºc in the shade, i´ve never seen it happen once in 9 years.

guess they use a different type of blacktop here.
