Fairing is in 3 Years, 11 Months ago
My fairing came in today, I have already taken it to A shop to be painted, do I need to consider anything on the electrical side to run the radio before I put this thing on?

Javawave the elect. is a basic hook up for a stereo system not a big thing. I had to run a ground to the battery, a hot lead to the battery positive and then tie into a hot lead that is operated by your ignition switch. You just need a test light and take your left side cover off and find a wire that turns off and on by the switch. If you want I can pull my side cover off and look at which wire I tied into???

Thanks Danny, I guess I can find which wire, I wasnt sure if the electrical system would handle the additional load without any modifications.

Javawave the stereo system doesn't effect your elect. as far as overloading it. I turn my stereo way up to over power the pipes and I have not had any problems with taxing the charging system on the bike. I run my stereo, passing lamps, headlight, tail light & plug in my cell phone to charge it while riding and I have never had a problem.

It was very fast, Ordered on Tuesday, shipped Thursday, got here today. I had already taken the bike to a painter last week and he got the paint, the pearlized black on the midnight stars is "salty". but he said I could pick it up Wednesday. I have a big ride Wednesday night but I doubt I get it on before then. But Thursday... I will have it on and get some pics.
