Re:R* Buying Tips...? 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Mine is purple, I bought it in 2001 off the show room in Albuquerque. The only problem has been the transmission recall. You take care of it and it will of you. I have 30,000 on it, been to south Texas, Colorado and all over New Mexico. I have done some modifications but who doesn't. Roadstars out perform other bikes in their class.

Big,
Could you tell me more about SVS and how to fix it? My 06 may be suffering from it! Nice bike, by the way.

Pre-owned Roadies aren't a dime a dozen (at least in my neck of the woods), but I would bet you can find some private owner within an hour or two of your location that either can't justify the payments because they don't ride enough, or has been hurt by the current economy and needs/wants to sell. I would search the pre-owned market hard before jumping in. I bought an '01 two years ago and it had only 7,500 miles on it.

If you buy one, I believe you will be happy you did. Good luck!

If you are thinking about a new one, you could save a thousand at least by getting a left over 2007.

The dealer here in Shawnee, OK is selling loaded 07s (with Silverado pkg + more) for $11K.
