I watched a cooler fall of a loggers service truck, picked it up, they had just iced down a half case of Bud! They didn't turn around so I got to drink it up that night!!!..........I was going to work one morning several years back and noticed a fishing rod with the plastic still on it laying in the middle of the road, I pulled over and picked it up, a brand new Lew's flipp'n stick! Had a couple of the eyes bent but the rod was in one piece, I replaced the eyes and I still use that rod, it is one of my favorites!

I think we have a WINNAR!!!

I was on 285 around Atlanta and a whole truck full of cows had jack kifed. Cows were everywhere just walking around. Glad I was not on that side of the barrier.

The best thing I ever found was my Cobra exhaust tip the day after it had fallen off.

Oh, and my wife

I myself lost my rear chrome horn cover on a 200 mile ride with 17 other bikers from our Church.
Two weeks later one of the guys from the ride handed it to me. Seems the doubble sidded tape didnt
hold (daaa) it has been reinstalled with a ss screw and more tape, with only minor scratches. I dont know if going to Church had anything to do with getting it back, but it is what it is.

Well there was the tire and rim that crossed the intersection on a green light followed shortly there after by a 1954 3 wheeled Chevy.
I once "found" the brake shoe from an 18 wheeler with the windshield of my old Honda Civic.
Probably the best was the time on Sunset Boulevard I found....oh wait, I can't tell that one.

Re:Items found on the road? 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I've been pretty lucky finding stuff on the road...
When I was a kid, our house backed up to the Mass. Pike. During one Summer, we had three seperate trucking mishaps... (Thankfully, the truckers weren't hurt,) but they all lost their loads...
So, in early summer we had enough potatos for the entire neighborhood...
Then in late July it was red onions... And, near the end of August... Water melons... 26000 pounds when the trailer backbone snapped!
Once I started driving... The world was my oyster!
I've stopped to pick up tools, and tool boxes, a marine antennea (still in the box...) I got my first computer off the road... (My mom was dissapointed she thought I brought her a new sewing machine...) I even found half a box of welding rods that I traded to the local car was for a half dozen car washes!
You know that old saying... "Leave no stone unturned"...?
I say, "leave no turn unchecked" (for good stuff)...

On a long hot summer day ...... bumper to bumper traffic for hours , finally we came upon and accident, we made it around all the line of cars and hit some open road........ being totally frustrated I wanted to hit the throttle and hit the rev limiter... then I saw my saving grace ... a meat wagon heading south ... I open it up to ride nice and close, his lights and siren a goin and we had nothing but cool breezes in our faces ....... the suddenly, the meat wagon and ourselves hit one heck of a bump ... we did all we could to hold on... the back door of the rescue open up and a metal box fell out and they kept going..... we laid on the brakes and went back for the box.... We look up and the meat wagon was nowhere to be seen ... we looked at each other and decided to open it up .... we were shocked with what we had just found on the road ... as we open the box there lies a TOE ........ we new right away we had to do something!
