Guys--

If anyone ever tells you that installing a set of Hard Krome pipes is easy and just takes a few minutes...LAUGH AT THEM!

Especially when you do it alone...

Results were worth it, I think. Found some interesting stuff in the process...two of the four header bolts I found were less than finger tight on the pipes I took off...never bothered to check THOSE when I got the bike.

Anyway, back to a previous post, I swapped the DJ 37.5 pilot jet I installed with the kit back to the stock 35 pilot, and it's MUCH better now...nowhere near the bogging.

Now I just gotta RIDE the damn thing...

They're a nice pipe1 But then I'm partial to a the 2 into 2 design. I have found even the little bolt-on dodas can be a problem. When I changed out the timing cover I stripped out one of the screws. Doc

Thanks, Doc, I'm really happy with the look & the way they turned out...but the contortionist act I had to do with one knee under the bike, holding 40-pound pipes juuuuust so with one hand while trying to thread bolts blindly in from the back with no clearance....has left me feeling old, sore & creaky this morning!

But maybe not too sore to hop in the saddle...I'll just think of a nice ride as a v-twin massage therapy session...
