It looks like a external antenna is going to be the only way to go to get good reception. JW I got the same one and shortned each side 6" and with the stereo suplied you CANNNOOOTTT have the coax coiled up behind the stereo,It WILL NOT pick up anything. I put it all ( antenna and coax cable)in. one side below the speekers and only left enough coax to plug into the stereo. Then it worked great. If you want me to tell you how to shorten it PM me your telle # and I can explain it better than having to type it.
