The Front were just like I had just put them in they are Autolite Plugs and they have been in about 500 miles. any sugestions why the difference?? I don't think it is rich!

What's your needle set at? You get richer as you go up in elevation so you might be richer than you think. You might try the PMS at 2 turns and tweak from there too. The rear plugs are almost always darker than the front

I use to ride a two stroke at 5000 ft elevation and would change the clip two positions leaner from sea level...rode great, could have gone one clip leaner but because its a two stroke I was more comfortable going richer...little 250cc made over 50 horsepower and never seized!

On the R I'm running a 170 main on the 2nd position from the blunt end and am still rich...so I'm going to go to a 165...or I'll drill out to a 167.5 and start on the third clip. It looks like our bikes are similar on air cleaners and pipes...but I'm at sea level.

What color is the front cylinder plugs...white, lite or dark tan??? If you are dark tan on the front I'd change the clip one or two positions leaner (#3 or 2 from the blunt end) and see how it runs...when I moved up three positions it made a big difference.

I am with Musky, with your elev. you might still be a little rich..
turning in the pms will lean out the lower rpm, and if you do not come down out of the hills too often a 165 might work for you, or moving to the 3rd clip and keeping the same jet.

lowering the clip probably kills your mid range power.. pms should work, and if still rich drop the main jet one size..

Thats why Musky is so good always thinking, for got about the extra washers would put you in the half clip position.. 3 1/2 instead of 3..
