Damn! Same city, same color bike & everything! He obviously has more money for accessorizing, though...

Hey Map,
I was considering some Yamaha bags like you have but have not seen them in person. Do ya like em? What can you tell me about them? I currently have the hard bags but neaver have cared for the look.

Hi DJ. I like the Yamaha bags better than the stock ones on my 2002 V*. Bigger and more durable. They are pretty sturdy, lots of reinforcement inside. I really didn't want studs on my bike, so my seat is plane; and those were the only bags that I thought would go with that look. Overall really good quality and strong, you can back a lot of beer in there no problem. I was going for the HD look , like what they put on the RoadKing. The Yamaha bags are a little more boxy, but I get lots of good comments on them. I'll log onto my other PC and send a pic of the back end of the bike. I would like to bring them in closer to the fender and slightly lower them. This will go along with lowering the fender, and I think I'm going to install the Roadhouse 2 into 1 with Cadilac tip. I wish the backrest and bar were quick attach since it's only for the wife. She only maybe gets on 5 or 6 times a season. I'm sure the bike would look a lot better without that bar and pad?

Re:Mustang Seat 5 Years, 8 Months ago
Map, Thanks for the pic! Sorry took a while to reply! I Have seen these bags in the Yami acc cataloge, but not a good pic on a R*. I like the look of the Road King bags also and thought these were close. Like I said, the factory hard bags are nice but just dont like the look, like two big black marshmellows on the back of the bike. And they are very hard to keep looking good, scratched after every ride two up. Have the Bub Big Willy pipes now but am also thinking of the Road House doolies w/ fish tail tips. Like the look and hoping for a rumble but not as loud as the Bubs. Thanks again!
