Click on the "Tech Articles" tab and scroll down to "Suspension". It has a couple ways of lowering.

Did the flip and grind. It does take a lot of grinding, you wonder about the strength of the dog bone but I have not had any problems. I don't think it is clear in the article, you can take the suspension out with two bolts (if I remember right) and replace the suspension after doing the flip and grind.

I used the PCS lowering dogbones and it went very well, easy to do once you have the rear suspension assembly out. I also added the Progressive rate rear spring and that is nice too. It looks fantastic and the ride is very good, looks like it should have from the factory.

That said this weekend I am putting the stock dogbones back in. When packing we bottom out pretty badly when I hit holes in the highway, scares the hell out of my wife. For point of reference I go 235 and she is 120 so I know we aren't the heaviest running a lowered Roadie. I drag on occasion in corners too and that ain't good so far as she is concerned. It mostly happen in each case when we hit a bump in a turn where the suspension is already compressed somewhat. I have the spring cranked all the way up so I have no choice but to take the lowering bones out and make peace.

i did the flip because it was free and i prefer to do things myself if i can...still rides good and it was easy to do...the lowering kits are fairly cheap but i still like the did it myself feeling, i've done the flip, tilted my floorboards, made my own lowers, cut down my windshield, just to name a few

If you lower the bike you should put in a heavier spring .... especially if you ride two up.
